Blake H. Crawford

Blake Crawford focuses on insurance coverage disputes, with particular emphasis on commercial general liability and business auto liability claims. His work encompasses coverage determinations, claims handling, settlement negotiations and bad faith avoidance. He also handles coverage litigation involving contractual and extra-contractual claims in federal and state courts nationwide. Having represented both insurers and policyholders, Blake has worked on coverage matters from the initial evaluation of policy issues through the final disposition of disputes at the appellate level.

Blake has extensive experience with professional liability claims, including directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, professional malpractice and financial institution claims. His coverage work also includes cyber risk, homeowners, personal and commercial automobile, and uninsured and underinsured motorist matters, as well as claims under various first-party insurance policies.

Blake has contributed to an annual insurance coverage article published in the SMU Law Review Annual Texas Survey: Insurance Law, which presents the current state of Texas law for legal practitioners.
