Lee C. Reid

Lee Reid advises clients on education, economic development and government relations matters, with a particular focus on Louisiana charter schools. His work spans the formation of charter organizations, the application process and operational issues, as well as the drafting of policy and legislation at the local and state levels. Drawing on his experience across these areas, Lee helps charter school institutions navigate the regulatory framework that governs their work.

Lee represented clients who prevailed before the Louisiana Supreme Court in a significant case concerning charter school funding. The decision addressed an issue central to the state’s charter school system and reflects his longstanding involvement in charter school law in Louisiana.

Beyond his education practice, Lee works with organizations engaged in public-private partnerships. He served as lead attorney on the Federal City infill effort, a major Louisiana economic development project to retrofit a US Navy-owned area along the Mississippi River for federal offices and Department of Defense installations. He also worked with governmental and military organizations on public-private development of facilities that helped retain almost 2,000 Marine Force Reservists in New Orleans. Lee represents the Louisiana State University Health Science Foundation in its work assisting LSU Health Sciences Center with the rehabilitation and reuse of nearby buildings.
