Overview

Abby is a corporate and finance attorney whose lending experience spans traditional loans, structured finance and debtor-in-possession financing. She spent more than a decade in New York City advising lenders, borrowers and financial institutions. Her clients range from national corporations and regional banks to closely held Maine businesses and entrepreneurs, and her work includes transactions for experienced financial-market participants as well as first-time business borrowers.

In traditional lending, Abby’s recent matters include a $25 million real estate development term loan, a $10 million bank line of credit and a $5 million small business loan. Her structured lending experience includes securitization matters ranging from $250 million to more than $1 billion. She has also worked on $150 million in debtor-in-possession financing in a bankruptcy and restructuring context.

Abby’s finance work extends to art lending, including $20 million and $100 million art loans. She has separately provided strategic representation to museums, cultural organizations, galleries, collectors and artists. Her experience with Maine local law opinions includes matters involving a $15 million bank loan and a $330 million line of credit.

Across clients and transaction sizes, Abby approaches financing work with an emphasis on practical communication and an understanding of the differing needs of established borrowers and businesses arranging financing for the first time.
