Overview
Paul is a partner in Barley Snyder’s Litigation Practice Group. His civil litigation practice spans commercial, fiduciary, appellate, personal injury, real estate and construction disputes. He represents individuals and businesses in state and federal court and frequently advocates for clients in arbitration and mediation. His approach takes account of the legal, business and financial decisions that can arise throughout a dispute.
In commercial matters, Paul handles collections, contract disputes, enforcement of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, business ownership and dissolution conflicts, and commercial lease disputes. His work also includes claims involving Pennsylvania’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law and Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act. For construction industry professionals, he handles breach of contract disputes, claims under the Pennsylvania Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act, and mechanics’ lien matters.
Paul’s fiduciary litigation work takes him before Orphans’ Courts and civil courts. He has experience with trust disputes, guardianship matters, nonprofit organization dissolutions, financial account disputes, common law marriage disputes and intestate matters. His appellate work includes post-judgment motions, final orders, interlocutory appeals and applications for stays.
In real estate and land use matters, Paul handles property disputes, quiet title actions, zoning issues, and lease and landlord-tenant matters for commercial and residential landlords. He has represented clients seeking variances and other approvals before local municipalities in both contested and uncontested proceedings, and handles zoning appeals in trial and appellate courts. He also represents individuals in motor vehicle accident, premises liability, products liability, slip-and-fall and wrongful death cases. His defense work includes claims against businesses under Pennsylvania’s Dram Shop laws, including personal injury suits brought by patrons and third parties.
Before joining Barley Snyder, Paul practiced at firms in Bethlehem and Harrisburg, where he focused on civil litigation.
