Overview

Nathan Hertzog is a partner in Bradley’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. He advises financial sponsors and privately held companies on corporate transactions, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, fund formation, equity and debt financings, and restructurings. His work with financial sponsors spans the investment lifecycle, from formation and fundraising through investments, divestitures and wind down.

Nathan also advises founders and emerging companies on early- and growth-stage investments, liquidity transactions, talent management and incentives, and corporate governance. He routinely serves as outside general counsel, providing day-to-day legal and strategic advice from formation through exit. His industry experience includes healthcare—particularly physician practice management companies and behavioral healthcare providers—as well as transportation and logistics, finance, software, hardware, business services and hospitality.

Before joining Bradley, Nathan spent three years as general counsel to a private equity sponsor and its portfolio companies. In that role, he advised on fund formation, fundraising, acquisitions, healthcare compliance, anti-competitive issues, litigation management and corporate governance. He led the sponsor through federal registration with the SEC as a registered investment adviser and served as the adviser’s chief compliance officer. Earlier in his career, Nathan practiced for nine years at two mid-sized corporate law firms in the Southeastern United States.
