Overview
Carol co-chairs Barclay Damon’s Mass & Toxic Torts Practice Area. In more than 35 years of legal practice, she has concentrated on environmental-exposure and mass tort litigation, including multi-party suits, as well as products liability and general negligence matters. She represents individuals and businesses in federal and state courts defending claims of personal injury and property damage arising from alleged chemical contamination of property.
Carol’s work in environmental litigation began with her involvement in more than 600 actions related to the Love Canal litigation. Her mass tort experience also includes litigating thousands of damages claims involving alleged asbestos exposure, including cases she has tried to conclusion. For more than 35 years, she has served as defense liaison and coordinating counsel in New York Supreme Court for the Eighth Judicial District.
Beyond her litigation practice, Carol co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Forum. The forum fosters interaction and mentoring among women attorneys, with a focus on leadership, client and professional development, marketing, and work-life balance.
