Sara E. Alexander

Sara Alexander focuses on the development and financing of complex real estate transactions, principally in affordable housing and economic development. As counsel to the state’s housing finance agency, she works frequently with developers using low-income housing tax credits alongside HOME Funds, HTF Funds and other subsidies. She draws on her corporate background and prior banking experience in advising clients on these transactions.

Sara also assists clients with the administration of complex grant programs. Her work includes advising on how ARPA funds may be used to address specific community needs and documenting those uses. She has written and presented a grant management training program for a team of more than 100 people, bringing her experience communicating complex information to a large audience.
